I just tried this with my old S8 (2017) and it works! the monitor displayed the DEX output but the touch screen and dex feature had to be selected once they appeared after connecting the hdmi. Seems to give us big screen to use the same apps and view content - like a large tablet but with keyboard and mouse options. handy if you can use Android apps to do stuff and don't have a computer or tablet (just a screen) i guess

will this work for s8 with a powered adapter to use dex usb-c power hdmi usb etc?
